The Via Ferrata Nasego, created in 2011, leads to the summit of Corna di Savallo (1436 m) in the Brescian Alps.
The via ferrata consists of five parts, which are connected by hiking paths. Especially in early summer, it is recommended to climb the route, when the mountain slopes turn into a sea of flowers. The rock is a bit brittle in some places; special care is needed here. Overall, this route is very rewarding but it is quite a difficult climb, which requires experience.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the parking space at the end of the road, follow the orange markings. At a fork in the road, after about 400 m, keep to the right and after another 600 meters, you will reach the entrance to the Via Ferrata Nasego. The path is not very steep but leads over brittle rocks at first. Soon the first steep climb follows. It is well-secured with wire ropes and iron pins. Over hiking paths, in a scree gully, you soon reach the second part of the via ferrata, a tower, which you bypass on the right. The third section consists of an exposed traverse. There is an emergency exit at the end of this passage. Then you reach an intersection and a very exposed wall. Continue over a steep climb, a large gap and a band. After a left crossing, the fourth part is also done. Over a last rocky outcrop, climb over a few steep passages and finally reach the summit of Corna di Savallo at 1436 m. After a well-deserved break, ideal to enjoy the magnificent view, descend along the western ridge to the Rifugio Nasego and along a well-marked mountain path back to the parking lot.
