Stage4: Volcanic landscape
From Teguise, continue down to the village of Laderas and La Caleta de Famara.
Teguise - Famara: 10 kms
It follows a path section through quiet dune landscapes. Sandy tracks that at times make the progression very difficult.
Always in an upward direction you will reach the urbanization of Club La Santa, a sports center, and then the town of La Santa.
Then the landscape becomes volcanic. In particular there are three kilometers that are hard since the road is stony lava and in case of fall you can sand it alive. After this, we arrive at the "gate" of entrance to the National Park Timanfaya.
On asphalt down to Yaiza. The last few kilometers follow a lonely coastal trail, which is sometimes difficult to find in the rocky desert. (GPS necessary!)
Caleta de Famara - the surfing beach of Lanzarote.
Timanfaya National Park - Montaña del Fuego
Entrance fees € 9 and you are subjected to a 14 km route locked in a bus with no possibility of biking around. The places that are observed are superb, with great alignments of colored volcanoes and varied shapes.
Yaiza, a harmonious and caring town where you have to measure a lot of the restoration because they can charge you the tax without warning.
