Do not miss the opportunity to experience Norway's national mountain – legendary Stetind! It is certainly one of the best climbs you can do in Norway.

Stetind is a typical Norwegian summit that rises about 1400 m above sea level. It is fairly perfect obelisk in pure granite with wide ridges growing right from the sea. The mountain has really smooth sides that reached all the way to the fjord. Summit of Stetind is shaped by screws and sharp, flat and slippery slopes of naked rock.

Stetind is legendary mountain and is famous among all mountain climbers. It even was selected to be the National Mountain of Norway in 2002. Also, this summit is historically important coastal landmark for fishermen and sailors.

The normal road to Stetind goes through Halls Fortopp. It begins with a great trail via a remarcable birch-forest. Firstly, this hiking trail is marked with red paint on the trees and then it is marked with the rare red T signs on rocks or cairns. The last part of the trail becomes a climber’s path. Also, there are free camping spots near the roads.
