Between mountain and valley

Considerable hills, gentle valleys and shimmering lakes: in the extreme northeast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern the miracle of the last Ice Age presents itself. The various path over mountain and valley is lined by shady avenues and wide meadows.

Turn-by-turn directions

An avenue of chestnut trees accompanies cyclists from the city Pasewalk. The cycle path leads over the mountain Schanzenberg, a mighty Slavic castle wall, to the windmill town of Woldegk. The hilly heights on the way offer magnificent views of the Brohmer Mountains.

The "high mountains" of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern greet the cyclists behind the mill town. The Helpter Mountains, with 179 m the highest elevation of the region, can be admired by the cyclists up to Mildenitz. A few kilometres further lies one of the northernmost wine-growing areas in Germany, where aromatic grape juice can be tasted. The nearby Brohm Reservoir then invites you to take a refreshing dip. Friedland with its 95-metre high church tower is already announced from afar.

After a rest in the boulder garden of the town Schwichtenberg, you go to Torgelow. The small town invites its guests to an exciting journey through time to the Slavic village of Ukranenland.

On the last stage, the path leads through the deep forests of the heathland Ueckermünder Heide and the valley of the river Randow. The Lakes Latzigsee and Koblentzer See shimmer in their lowlands. Via the village Rothenklempenow with walkable fishing tower, we return to Pasewalk.
