The unspoilt river and lake landscape of Skåne in southern Sweden is an ideal destination for those who want to experience the untouched wilderness of Scandinavia up close. You can canoe or kayak to visit lonely islands or glide through the unique nature with its idyllic forest, pasture and arable landscapes.
Immels is the third largest lake in Skåne and an attraction for nature lovers. The unique lake landscape, with over 200 islands, can be easily explored by canoe. More than 100 of them are suitable for overnight stays. The most popular canoeing trail in the region also runs along Lake Immel. The Immelns Kanotcenter offers tours and the necessary equipment for nature-orientated experiences in and around the lake, ranging from canoes to complete camping equipment. During a paddle tour along the forest covered lake shore you can observe the numerous animals and plants of the region in peace and quiet. These include rare species such as the osprey, the star diver and the water lily.
