The café is located in the old town of Edinburgh next to Greyfriars Kirkyard.

The café describes itself as "Harry Potter's birthplace". Even if this is not entirely true, since the first pages of the famous book about the magician were not written in Scotland and the first volume was mainly written in another café, it is definitely a place for Potter fans. The famous author of the magic books spent numerous hours in the café with her following books (especially with part 2 and 3), so that the magic world was also put on paper here. There are different dishes and of course drinks. However, the café is always very busy, so that one should avoid the rush hours and possibly reserve in order to get a place. The owners of the café are also elephant lovers – hence the name and many decorative elephants decorate the interior.
