At the Gulf of Salerno lies one of the most impressive coasts of Europe: the Costiera Amalfitana. Its unique landscape is characterised by lush vegetation, steep cliffs sloping steeply into the turquoise blue sea, deep gorges and romantic bays. Hiking along this varied coast is guaranteed to keep you entertained. At the latest when the sun goes down in the sea after a strenuous day of hiking and the culinary specialities of the region are served with fresh seafood and pasta and a glass of red wine is poured, the 'dolce far niente' - sweet idleness - takes over deservedly the command.
