Today is split between peaceful woodland trails and meandering tracks through vineyards, stopping off in Wintzenheim and Wettolsheim for your daily dose of Alsatian villages, though saving Eguisheim – the most impressive – for last!
Original landscape in Champagne, the bocage is well preserved in Hampigny because the commune has preserved its large grasslands along the Voire river. A few interpretive panels explain the fauna, agricultural activities and preservation of the Natura 2000 classified site.
An easy stroll through woodland between Thannenkirch and Ribeauvillé passes the ruins of three medieval Châteaux that providing an insight into the history of the region, and allow sublime views across the Alsatian Plain.
Starting and finishing in Orbey, this loop walk climbs high into the Vosges mountains, passing winter ski pistes, Alpine pastures and the lakes of Lac Noir and Lac Blanc - and the nature reserve that surrounds them.
Circuit accessible toute l’année avec de très belles vues. Parking de départ disponible au camping municipal de Rémering-lès-Puttelange. Possibilité à partir de l’étang de rejoindre Hilsprich et Saint-Jean-Rohrbach ou simplement de faire le tour de l’étang (chemin en gravillons blancs).
