Discover the region
Gwynedd is made up of 10 municipalities which include Bangor, Caernarfon, Porthmadog, and Dolgellau among others. The region boasts numerous attractions worth a trip including Snowdonia National Park - one of the most popular tourist spots in Wales with breathtaking mountain landscapes perfect for hiking or climbing.
For those interested in history and culture, Gwynedd has plenty to offer as well. Visit Caernarfon Castle - a UNESCO World Heritage site built by King Edward I during his conquest of Wales in the late 13th century. Another must-see attraction is Portmeirion Village - an Italianate-style village designed by architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis that features colorful buildings surrounded by lush gardens.
If you're looking for culinary specialities unique to this area then try out some Welsh lamb or seafood dishes like Cawl (a traditional Welsh stew) or fresh fish caught off the coastlines around Gwynedd.
Outdoor enthusiasts will have plenty of activities to choose from depending on what season they visit. In summer months there are opportunities for surfing at Abersoch Beach while winter brings snowboarding and skiing options at Llandudno Ski Slope.
When it rains don't worry because there are still many indoor activities available such as visiting museums like Storiel Museum & Art Gallery or exploring underground caverns at Sygun Copper Mine.
Overall, if you're planning a trip to Wales then make sure Gwynedd is included on your itinerary! With so much variety offered here between nature's beauty and man-made wonders alike plus delicious foodie experiences waiting just around every corner – it truly deserves being added onto any traveler’s list when considering where they want their next adventure to take place.

Great walk with lovely views, try and time it with a clear day to fully appreciate it. Rocky surfaces in some parts so walking boots recommended. Decent size car park but go early to save any disappointment. Toilets on site too.
