The Montafon is an almost 40 km long valley in Vorarlberg, surrounded by the peaks of the Montafon mountain ranges Verwall, Rätikon and Silvretta. On hiking trails, mountain bike trails or via ferrata you can climb, among others, the highest mountain of the Montafon, the Piz Buin (3312 m). 1130 km of marked hiking trails and 270 km of MTB routes lead across meadows, forests, mountain heights and ridges. In winter, there are numerous snow-sure downhill runs to choose from in several varied ski areas.

There are offers for every level of difficulty: families with children discover the Montafon on themed trails, trekking fans enjoy hiking from hut to hut, bikers let it rip on 260 kilometres of trails and professional climbers scale even the loneliest peaks.
If you like, you can always rely on the mountain cable cars, for example in Gargellen, Golm or Silvretta Montafon.

Alpine huts: a culinary treat in the Montafon
One thing that should not be missed in the Montafon is a proper lunch in one of the numerous mountain huts - it will give you strength for the next trail. Typical for Alpine regions, there are delicious cheese and sausage specialities in the Montafon. No wonder that great products come from this region!
For multi-day hikes, you will also find a place to sleep in many huts.

The pistes are excellently prepared for winter sports enthusiasts, there are numerous powder runs for freeriders and ski tourers, climbers can now reach their goal via icy routes and there is tobogganing fun for young and old. Dress warmly, because the Montafon doesn't take a break in winter!
