The Allgaeu’s highest winter sport resort on top of the Nebelhorn scores with its 7.5 km long valley descent that leads directly into the town. The station Höfatsblick excites snowboarders with a superpipe – a halfpipe of such dimensions that it attracts snowboarders from all over Europe.
The transnational ski resort Fellhorn/Kanzelwand is one of Germany’s biggest winter sport destinations with 40 km of slopes. Modern snow-making facilities secure good snow conditions. Free riders enjoy the Fellhorn Easypark and the Crystal Ground near Kanzelwand Station.

In addition to these three ski areas, the two ski areas at Ifen and Walmendingerhorn are part of the two-country ski region „OK Bergbahnen“. However, these are not located in the Allgäu, but entirely in Kleinwalsertal in Austria.

There are also numerous of smaller ski resorts that are ideal for beginners and families. The “Skiarena Steibis” and the ski lift Hündle-Thalkirchdorf is located near Oberstaufen as well as the Mittag ski center and the Grünten lifts.
The ski paradise Grasgehren at Riedbergpass or the Oberjoch near Bad Hindelang are popular destinations for winter sport fans in the Allgaeu. Boardercross and Funpark in Grasgehren excite skilled skiers whereas the easy to medium slopes at Oberjoch are ideal for beginners.
If you want to ski on King Ludwig II traces, should visit the Tegelberg. Other popular and family-friendly winter sport destination near Pfronte, Füssen and Schwangau are Breitenberg, the ski resort Halblech-Buching or the ski lifts of Gerhalde in Oy-Mittelberg.
But not only Oberallgäu is suitable for skiing enthusiasts: If you want to follow in the footsteps of King Ludwig II, then Tegelberg is the place to go. Other popular, family-friendly winter sports destinations around Pfronten, Füssen and Schwangau include the Breitenberg near Pfronten, the Halblech-Buching ski area or the Gerhalde ski lift in Oy-Mittelberg.
