Combi Tour Mittenwald High Trail
View-rich day hike with easy via ferrata (A/B) along the Mittenwald Höhenweg
The Mittenwald Hiking Trail, also called the Mittenwald Via Ferrata, is a successful combination of hiking trail and via ferrata. The great panorama with views of the Wetterstein Mountains and the Karwendel makes the trail so attractive for mountaineers. If you are sure-footed, have a head for heights and want to explore the Karwendel, this is the right place for you. The trail is well secured with ladders and wire ropes and is not too challenging from a climbing point of view. We can stop at the mountain station of the Karwendel cable car and at the Brunnsteinhütte at the end of the actual climb. The Brunnsteinhütte also offers an overnight accommodation option. Alternatively, the route can also be walked in the opposite direction. From the mountain station, either descend or take the train back down to the valley.
