The beginning of this Via Ferrata is located near to the Schaferhütte. Over and through some rocks this Via Ferrata leads to the Glungezer hut 2.610m and up to the Sonnenspitze 2.639m.

Turn-by-turn directions

To get to the entrance of the Via Ferrata you use the cable car Glungezerbahn to the Tulfeinalm. Following you hike up around 45min till you nearly reach the so called Schaferhütte.

You find the entrance of the Via Ferrata right hand side. Follow the Via Ferrata over rocky area and through small crevices, tors and gorges till you reach the Glungezer hut.

Worthwhile ist the round tour: Tulfeinalm - Via Ferrata - Glungezer - descent on the normal track - Schaferhütte - Tulfeinalm.
