Let yourself be animated by the tranquillity
The tour begins on a natural sun terrace above the Muota Valley. Instead of a ski circus, a tranquillity and a lovely landscape await you. In this seclusion, the Alpine panorama appears even more powerful.
The signposted snowshoe routes are permitted in the Hasentobel - Ruch game rest zone.
The starting point is the 790-people village of Illgau. After a few steps you have already left the village and a wonderful ascent through a quiet, untouched landscape follows. On the other side of the valley, on the Stoos, lives the Pisten-Gaudi. On this side of the valley nature lovers are among themselves. In the rear Oberberg we reach the highest point of the tour and the magnificent Alpine panorama rewards the effort of the ascent. The path leads slightly downhill to the Alp Unterer Altberg and on to the cosy mountain inn Oberberg, where you can have a bite to eat. The top station of the Illgau-Vorderoberberg aerial cableway is only 700 metres away. The nostalgic aerial cableway takes you back to the starting point in the village of Illgau. For less strenuous hikers, the route takes the opposite direction: first the cable car ride, then the hike from Vorderoberberg via Oberberg back to Illgau.
