Take the Acherkogel cable car to reach the Hochoetz ski region. The beautiful, signposted snowshoe trail starts below the panorama restaurant (2020 m). It leads slighty downhill through the snow-covered winter forest and traverses away from the ski slopes to the Acherkogelblick viewing platform. The impressive view to the Acherkogel invites you to linger. From there the path follows the same way back again until you reach a crossroads. The signposted path towords "Bielefelder Hütte" is steeper and requires a certain amount of snowshoe experience. After approx. 1 km and 130 hm you have reached your destination and can make yourself comfortable at the Bielefelder hut, enjoy the view and gather new strength with a plate of Kaiserschmarrn. The descent followes same path back down. When you reach the crossroad again, turn right and follow the signs back to the mountain station "Bergstation".

Public transport
Travel comfortably and safely by train to Ötztal Bahnhof. At the train station you will find regular public transport or local taxi services, which will happily take you to your desired destination! The current bus timetable are available at: http://fahrplan.vvt.atBy road
The Ötztal valley is located in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey by car leads you through the Inntal valley until you reach the start of Ötztal.
