Have fun on a spectacular sledge ride with the SNOOC snowshoe sled and demanding tobogganing tour leads us through the Hall valley.

We start not far from Hall in Tirol, at the beginning of the original Hall valley. Above the valley the Bettelwurf is enthroned mightily, the highest peak of Absam and one of the highest in the whole Karwendel. We ascend along the toboggan run and find ourselves surrounded by impressive mountain flanks and rock walls. Soon we can look forward to a very special place to stop for a bite to eat: the Gasthaus St. Magdalena is housed in former monastery walls and offers a tasty cuisine in addition to the interesting architecture. The toboggan run runs in almost a single, wide arc and is very steep in some places. It is therefore not suitable for beginners. Especially the first half up to the moated castle requires advanced sledding skills: In the area of the Bettelwurfeck the gradient is up to 32%!

Turn-by-turn directions
We start at the parking lot and follow the further course of the cleared forest road, on which we also came. Along the brook we walk further and further into the Halltal valley, whereby the gradient is relatively low at first. The huts we can see on our way date back to the time when salt was mined here. Soon we reach the most strenuous part of the route: the Bettelwurfeck. But the magnificent mountain scenery also distracts us from this effort and after a total walking time of about two hours we finally reach the Gasthof St. Magdalena. For the rapid descent, we have already memorized the critical points during the ascent, so that we can toboggan down the path in the Hall Valley with care and a lot of fun. The sledge tour ends at our starting point.
