Start at The Laurels B&B in Oakamoor and head North towards Bottomhouse, then Onecote, where you'll find yourself in the Staffordshire Peak District after less than 10 minutes driving.
After enjoying some stunning views you'll arrive in Longnor which has serveral tea shops and pubs.
Join the A6 as it meanders alongside the River Wye where you'll leave it at Ashford in the Water. It's worth getting out here and having a quick stroll by the river and around the village.
At Monsal Head, there's a good sized carpark, a cafe and a restuarant where you can enjoy some refreshment before enjoying the views!
From Monsal Head you head into the valley towards Cressbrook, then Litton via some very picturesque lanes and villages.
The return journey takes you via Miller's Dale then joins the A6 again taking you back along the same route until you get back to Bottomhouse where you take a detour up the B5033 then left along "The Casey" which provides some great views.
Return the way you came back to The Laurels.
