Mirador Don Martín de Güímar – Los Abrigos

This racing bike tour takes us through the south of Tenerife. We follow most of the route of the TF-28, a low-traffic serpentine road through the dry, desert-like landscape. Those who are used to the green fields and forests in Germany will get a completely new scenic impression. The south of Tenerife is very dry and the natural landscape is therefore rather brown with individual green plants. The surroundings remind of a desert. Due to missing trees a wide view over the surroundings and up to the sea becomes free. Due to the quite high starting point we don't have to master such great climbs anymore – except for the detour down to the coast. The way leads however nevertheless always easily uphill and downhill. You have to be careful in the numerous curves. Even if there seems to be little traffic here, one or the other car or also other cyclists meet us.
