The tour of legendary climbs has been designed for athletically trained cyclists. With a total length of 135 km and a profile that features over 2000 metres of climb, this tour is among the toughest of sporting challenges.
It entails some of the region's best climbs, including some well known ones which form part of the Ardennes classic Liège-Bastogne-Liège: the Côte de Wanne for example (2.2 km, 7.2%), the Côte de Stockeu (1.1 km, 12%), and the Côte du Rosier (3.9 km, 6.3%). From St. Vith, the tour goes towards Salmchâteau and the heavily wooded region of Mont-le-Soie, where the first challenge awaits the riders. In the region of Trois-Ponts, there are a few more classics to be added to the list above, such as the Côte des Hézalles (1.7 km, 9.1%), the Côte de Mont-le-Soie (4.1 km, 6%), the Côte d'Aisomont (4.5 km, 5.1%), the Côte d'Amermont (3.4 km, 5.9%), and the Côte de Brume (2.6 km, 7.9%).
