The range of gears “employed” and the austere environment of the Dolomites say a lot for this hill, along the state road no. 48. One of the greatest hills of the entire Giro d’Italia, it always turns out to be highly selective and very often decisive in the final classification of the great “pink race”. The hill climbs steadily, featuring several tough and at times particularly steep stretches in the final tract.
