From the starting point, the tour leads through Zell am See via Maishofen to Saalfelden. From there it goes on to Leogang-Hochfilzen-St. Ulrich-Waidring and Lofer. From here you drive back on the Tauern cycle path to Saalfelden and via Maishofen and Zell am See back to the starting point.
The bike path from Saalfelden to Hochfilzen is quite winding in Leogang - alternatively, you can take the federal road in sections (through Leogang).
From Hochfilzen to Lofer, things usually go quickly on quiet side streets. Shortly before Lofer you drive downhill on the main road for a few minutes. The bike path in this area is partly unpaved and not suitable for racing bikes.
From Lofer to Saalfelden in most areas good asphalt on the bike path. The federal road would be little fun here, since there is usually a lot of traffic.
The Pillerseerunde can be driven in both directions!
