Across mountain streams and along an aqueduct to a pile of skulls 6thOctober 2020
Distance 15.7 km
We set off across the hillside, bridging streams, until we got to an aqueduct running the length of the hillside towards Naters, and then followed a disused railway into the town. There we visited a chapel piled high with skulls ("Beinhaus" or "Charnel house"), with the epitaph "What you are, once were we; what we are you will be". From there it was a simple matter of crossing the river to Brig railway station, to finish this section of the Jakobsweg.
