VIA ROMEA Wietzendorf - Bergen (09)

Starting point is the St. Jakobi church in the town centre of Wietzendorf. We walk out of the village on the "Kampstraße", past the railway lines. Before a forest, we turn off the "Relohweg" to the left into the "Wietzendorfer Moor" (Bog). We go straight through the bog, until we come to a T-junction with a paved road. Here we go left and then right again. After we have crossed the railway track, we turn right and follow the path, along the railway track to Becklingen. Shortly before Becklingen, we reach the "settlement on the Bahnhofstraße". Shortly before the railway line we turn left into a field path. After we have walked through the forest, we turn left and go along the forest, then go right across the field. After crossing the field on a field path, we go to the right, past the farmstead "Klein Berlin". Follow the paved road along the railway embankment to Wardböhmen.

We leave the village on the right, and after crossing the railway line again, we continue on the "Dageförder Weg" towards a forest. At a Y-junction, we go right through the forest, then along an alley to the hamlet "Dageförde". Here, we turn right and cross the country road. A climb up to the "Bleckmarberg". At the crossroads, we turn left and then turn right again and head towards "Hagen".

In Hagen, we turn left and right again. Follow a small section of the local road, then turn left again and turn right again. Then we continue straight on the road, which leads us to Bergen. In Bergen, follow the road "Am Weinberg" until the intersection with the federal road B3. To the left, following the "Harburger Straße", we reach the town centre with the St. Lambertikirche (Church) and the museum of local history, "Römstedthaus", on the "Friedensplatz".
