F026 Way of St. James (Camino) St. Alban - Aumont-Aubrac

The second night at the l'oustal de Parent, we had the dormitory to ourselves! We had hoped to get a bus back into town, but it didn't arrive, and the owner kindly drove us back to the livestock pens we'd visited the day before. From there, we started off on a delightful sandy path, and on up to some farm villages, where we had a stop for coffee at a pilgrims rest area. The local lady didn't seem to feel the cold, but we welcomed the hot drink! From there the countryside was more open forest, and our afternoon hot chocolate stop was in a strange little walled garden with various seating niches. From there, we journeyed on to Aumont-Aubrac, with its Giant Sequoia, and Barry's Farm with its traditional Aligot and Myrtle pie supper.
