The 2200 kilometres long pilgrim trail "VIA ROMEA", from Stade (close to Hamburg) to Rom, from Würzburg to Ochsenfurt.
On the tour from Würzburg to Ochsenfurt we go through the beautiful "Maintal" (Main valley), with wonderful views over the water and the landscape.

The day's stage on the VIA ROMEA to Ochsenfurt starts at the cathedral in Würzburg. We leave the cathedral behind us and head towards the Main bridge. There we keep to the left and follow the Main cycle path south towards Ochsenfurt.
We pass through the villages of Randersacker, Eibelstadt and Sommerhausen. At the end of Sommerhausen, we cross the B13 federal road to the left and walk up the hill. At the top we follow the panorama path through the vineyards to Ochsenfurt. Here we cross the Main on a bridge and reach the day's destination, the town church of Ochsenfurt in "Brückenstraße" at the corner of "Hauptstraße".
ALTERNATIVE from Sommerhausen to Ochsenfurt
We do not turn left at the town exit in Sommerhausen but follow the Main cycle path to Ochsenfurt.
