Interestingly walk beside the so-called Canal de Castilla
Rise can be hard because there are no places where drinking water and it is usually a windy place.
Going down, there are good views of the Tierra de Campos and a fountain called Fuente del Piojo , with exceptional water. Many residents and pilgrims go there to get bottles of this famous fresh wather.
Then the route runs parallel to the river Pisuerga border between Burgos and Palencia. Once you cross the river, you reach the called Canal de Castilla. It is a canal or artificial river built in the eighteenth century on ships to send grain to the coast.
This channel has over 200 kilometers. Shortly before reaching the city of Frómista, the channel crossing and have beautiful views.
