This trail cuts through the Golden Horseshoe area north of Breckenridge between Brown Gulch and Rock Island Gulch. You can use the trail to connect Tiger Road with French Gulch Road. Most of the trail is a fairly easy drive through pine trees.
If you start at Tiger Road, you'll find the trailhead on the south side of the road where the town of Tiger used to be. There is plenty of room to air down at the trailhead. You'll be able to see a small bridge and a trail next to the bridge from Tiger Road, so it is fairly easy to find.
There are a few switchbacks at the start as you climb into the trees. After the first climb, the elevation doesn't change much as you pass Brewery Hill.
The trail comes to a "T" intersection when it meets the Humbug Hill trail. Turn right here to go a short distance to Lincoln Park, a large meadow. At Lincoln Park, turn south to follow forest service road GH-41.
Note that GH-41 is a steep descent down to French Gulch Road, and there is an exposed curve that tips your vehicle out to the hill below. Erosion over passing years may make this tippy section worse, so proceed with caution.
If you wish to skip the tippy section, you can take any of the other trails to get out, or return the way you came.
