You walk along the Austrian-Hungarian defence line and the opposing Italian defence line, during the First World War. You will enjoy a series of war paths and forts, meadows and open mountain huts, the beautiful Val Campelle and the wild Val Orsera, countless Alpine lakes and the panorama view on the Lagorai chain and Cima d’Asta mountain, which you may reach walking a variation of the trekking route.
Being a multi-day trek a minimum of training is required. Always check the weather and start early

Equipment: Sportswear for mountain excursions (hiking boots, raincoat)
It’s possible to do this trek in a clockwise or counterclockwise. Check the availability of refuge before departure.
Go along the main road SS47 Valsugana, take the exit signposted “Borgo Valsugana”, follow the sign to Telve Valsugana, carry on towards Passo Manghen (about 40 minutes by car, 23 km following the twisted road S.P. 31 which run through Val Calamento).
