Angels Landing Trail (Zion NP)
"Angels Landing" is the name of a scenic lookout platform in the middle of Zion Canyon. The peak measures 1765 m and is surrounded by the Big Bend of the Virgin River. Due to this exposed position, you have a wonderful view into different parts of the canyon. The tour is only 7 km long, nevertheless it is only suitable for experienced hikers. Especially the last metres up to the top require mountain experience, safe walking in difficult terrain and absence of vertigo. You will be climbing up the rough mountain side and an exposed ridge without steps or handrails. There is just a steel chain to hold on.

“They take pictures of the mountain climbers at the top of the mountain. They don’t take pictures along the way cause who wants to remember the relentless climb, the pain and anguish of taking it to the next level – nobody takes pictures of that, nobody wants to remember. We just want to remember the view from the top, the breathtaking moment at the edge of the world. That’s what keeps us climbing and it’s worth the pain, that’s the crazy part. It’s worth anything.“ – Anonymous
