Einstein-Runde
The Einstein is a spectacular panoramic mountain in the Tannheimer Tal above the village of Tannheim. While a steep but easy path leads to the summit from the south, on this tour we take the challenging ascent from the north side. The beauty of this route is that we are probably alone on the way and can thus fully enjoy the peace and solitude of the mountains. First uphill on a meadow path, the path is secured in the rocky area before the summit. Wire ropes and some iron steps help over the section. The ascent does not pose any major problems, but you should be sure-footed and have some mountain experience. From the Einstein we enjoy the wonderful view and then venture over the Rappenschrofen ridge. This path on the mountain ridge is also not for beginners. Without insurances and with a few crossings or traversals of the rocks, the path leads us over the ridge before we descend again into the Engetal.
