Bristen
On the way to the Gotthard, Bristen inevitably catches the eye of every car driver. The massive pyramid towers 2500 m above the Reuss valley in Uri. Admittedly, seen from the valley, this mountain looks almost unconquerable, but the difficulties lie less in the technical area than in the physical demands. If you want to conquer the mountain in one day, you have to climb more than 2300 metres. Alternatively, you can also spend the night in the small Bristensee hut. The Bristen has four pronounced ridges, three of which can be climbed. The easiest route leads from Bristenseeli via the north-east ridge (T5). Those who love long ridge climbs are in the right place here. To reach the summit, there are 700 metres of hard rock to scramble up.
