Over the Hahnenköpfle to the Gottesacker plateau
Our mountain tour takes us after a comfortable cable car ascent with the Ifenbahn to the Hahnenköpfle and over the Gottesacker plateau. The summit of the Hahnenköpfle offers a breathtaking view over the entire Gottesacker plateau and onto the rugged and mighty-looking Ifen. The unique karst landscape consists of limestone rock that has been shaped over thousands of years by precipitation and weather influences. This is how holes, even caves with depths of over 70 m, were formed in the Gottesacker plateau. The rugged landscape has an unreal effect on the viewer, especially when the weather is slightly foggy and the sky is overcast. The way back to the valley station of the Ifen cable car takes us past a hunter and shepherd camp from prehistoric times, where we marvel at the oldest human traces in Kleinwalsertal. Already more than 9000 years ago, hunters used the site as a place to live.
