Along the western Nagelfluhkette
Many know the Nagelfluhkette traverse, which runs between the Hochgrat and Mittag. Its “western neighbor” starts at Hoher Häderich above Hittisau (Bregenz Forest) and leads along the idyllic Lecknertal valley. This route promises impressive views: on our way towards Hochgrat, we look to the left at the Allgäu foothills, and to the right, the view sweeps over the Alpine peaks. If we look back, we can even see the Säntis in good weather. The day-long tour runs on easy to moderately difficult paths from the Lecknertal up to the Hohen Häderich (1565 m), further over the Falken (1561 m), the Eineguntkopf (1639 m) and the Hohenfluhalpkopf (1636 m) finally to the Seelekopf (1663 m). Before the descent, a stop at the Staufner Haus is a must. Finally, we descend over alpine pastures to the emerald green Lecknersee.
