Diese höchst anspruchsvolle Tour verläuft in einer einmaligen Landschaft. Der malerische Schrecksee liegt südöstlich von Hinterstein in den Allgäuer Alpen. Während man dort noch recht vielen Menschen begegnet, begibt man sich auf dieser Gipfeltour immer mehr in absolute Einsamkeit. Die Gipfel rund um den wunderschönen Hochgebirgssee liegen ideal für eine Rundtour, doch aufgrund der ausgesetzten Wegabschnitte und des brüchigen Gesteins – vor allem auf der Kälbelespitze – bleibt diese Bergtour ausschließlich absoluten Experten vorbehalten. Sie enthält Kletterpassagen bis zum III. Schwierigkeitsgrad (UIAA).
