Park pn the road from Castleton along Blakey Rigg and drop onto the old Rosedale Railway. Follow railway in an anti clockwise direction until reaching the road. Descend the bank (carefully!) into the village. Follow the road to Castleton until you reach the dead end road for Rosedale East only. Follow this past 2 sets of cottages taking the bridleway on the right up through the farm and bank onto the railway. Continue round to the start.
