About 90% traffic free with no major hills and some great scenery
moderate
Distance 37 km
Very enjoyable route which can get you away from the crowds. Quite a lot of traffic free sections with no major hills - a lot of relatively flat cycling. Early on along the N Downs way there is a 100yd section that you will very likely need to walk unless bone dry. Most of the tracks are very good but there are some sandy sections on heathland which requires a bit more effort.
Allow about 3.5 hours saddle (moving) time if not rushing.
Excellent wild swimming opportunity at Frensham little pond
Compulsory stop is the micro-brewery and cafe shortly after leaving Frensham pond.
Good parking at Puttenham but there are other locations one could start
