Not suitable for road bikes, its a short off road route around Ilkeston using the Nutbrook Trail (tarmac cycle path) then cuts through Pewit Golf Course (rough up hill section) then accross an old section of railway enbankment at the rear of Ilkeston School which exits on Heanor Rd, then a short jaunt on the road to link up with the Erewash Valley Trail (Canal towpath, pleanty of potholes & mud in winter)
