A scenic ride via Wendover which is about 2/3rds off road with some good hills

Allow 2.5 hours of saddle time or a bit longer if you do this in the winter. I like to stop at the delicatescence coffee shop in Wendover (No2 Pound Street) which is about 1/2 of the way around. The route is a mix of quiet roads and generally good tracks.
It starts by following ‘Route 57’ out of Great Missenden and you pick it up again at the end.
The 4km downhill into Wendover is just brilliant – it is worth doing the ride just for that. The route from Wendover to Gt Missenden can be done almost entirely off road, which is my preference and the route shown, but there are road options. In winter and v wet conditions I recomend the road option to Dunsmore. From there the track is flat but in very wet conditions can be heavy going.
