Connoisseur's circuit from Hinterzarten to Freiburg
As we continue along the trail, we reach the Feldberg. The summit lies at 1493 m above sea level and is the highest mountain in the German low mountain range. There we have a magnificent view that stretches from the Alps over the Swabian Alb to the Vosges Mountains.
Afterwards we cycle past the St. Wilhelmer Hütte and the Berggasthaus Stübenwasen, where we can stop for a leisurely meal and enjoy Baden specialities.
After that we reach the Eduardshöhe, where at 859 m above sea level we have a beautiful view of Freiburg and the Schauinsland. Finally, we ride past Horben to our destination in Freiburg.
The entire loop has no difficult sections and is characterised by moderate climbs. We cycle mainly on asphalt roads and gravel paths. However, fitness and cycling technique are essential so that we can master the challenging sections without any problems.
