The base for the infamous Three Peaks cyclocross race, Horton-in-Ribblesdale enjoys a wonderful position just south of the centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, between Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent.

Horton-in-Ribblesdale is on the B6479, north of Settle on the A65, halfway between Kirby Lonsdale and Skipton. The car park is just north of the Pen-y-ghent cafe, before the bridge and The Crown Hotel. There’s also a railway station.

You won’t find any refreshments on the route but there are various options at the start/finish, including the Pen-y-ghent cafe (01729 860333).
