Ride through Finnish forests and enjoy the nature and scenery along the ridges and forest lakes.
The network of trails and routes connecting the centre of Mäntyharju to Repovesi National Park offers many great ways to enjoy the nature and scenery along the ridges and forest lakes. This route has a nice mix of easy and more demanding sections.
Hikers and mountain bikers share the same trail in some parts. Follow the blue markers painted on the trees and the Mäntyharju-Repovesi signposts. Remember that cyclists must always give way to hikers. You can also ride along the hiking sections (orange markers), but these are technically more challenging.
There is only one well for drinking water on the route, so be sure you have enough to drink especially when the weather is warm. If you have a portable stove, you can use boiled lake water for cooking and drinking.
There are several well-equipped campsites along the route, with lean-to shelters, dry toilets and firewood. The jewel of the campsites is Matkoslampi, where you can enjoy a wood-heated sauna.
