Harpur Hill to Hollinsclough

A quick 1.5hr to 2hr blast. Some good cross country stuff over open fields, some fast downhill tracks and some techy, rocky step descents and a couple of fords thrown in. All set in some of the Peak District's most iconic scenery.

I do this ride often and hardly ever see another rider, or anyone else for that matter. The climb up Staker Hill is short and makes for a sweet descent on the way back. The drop down from Booth Farm to Washgate is beautiful. The rocky descent into Hollinsclough is a blast. There are other loops and descents you can work in here if you want. Then going out of Hollinsclough towards Chrome and Parkhouse hills shows a side not often seen to a well known Peak District view. The tarmac climb up to Stoop Farm is a case of head down and keep going. Retracing your steps over the fields back to Staker Hill for the final fast descent then conveniently finishing at the Parks Pub for a well earned beverage of your choice!
