This tour leads from Céligny (VD) to the French Jura and back to Satigny (GE) via the Col de la Faucille and the Col de Crozet. Technically, the tour is relatively easy with the exception of the descent from Col de Crozet to Crozet, which is steep and technically demanding. In terms of fitness, the long and initially steep ascent (via good paths) and the much shorter final ascent to the Col de Crozet (trail) drain the reserves, and the kilometres also increase. As variant A, the tour can be ridden as a shorter round trip with a return from Crozet to Vesancy.
After the start in Céligny, we pass the border to France at Divonne-les-Bains (known as a health resort and for its horse racing track) and from Vesancy begin the 800 m ascent to a nameless culmination point östlich of the Col de la Faucille, initially steeper, then increasingly flatter. On the western flank of the Petit Montrond, Mont Rond and Le Colomby de Gex, we continue to climb and then cross the ridge at the Col de Crozet to the eastern side. Now follows the technically demanding downhill practically along the cable car that leads from Crozet to the ski area at the Col.
From Crozet it becomes mostly flat again and at Moulin Fabry we reach Switzerland again. Now follows a last short climb and through the vineyards of Chouilly and Satigny we reach the destination station of Satigny.
