Albula Trail

Eight kilometres and 625 metres of altitude difference of trail surfing with playful elements and spectacular views, are offered by the new route on the Albula Pass. E-mountainbikers will also have fun on the still unknown bike route. The impressive alpine landscape and the flowing descent let you float over the trail far away from everyday life. "It is the ideal route for the first single trail experience. Relatively easy to ride and easily accessible, suitable as a half-day tour or evening tour", explains Severin Gisler, project manager of Allegra Tourism, the company responsible for the trail construction. Allegra Tourism has conjured up a varied bike trail from the former trail with a lot of manual work. "Every stone has its place and the slope must be studied carefully to make the trail sustainable", trail specialist Markus Buser describes the subtleties of the construction method. Ambitious cyclists with good physical condition cycle on the pass road from La Punt to the Albula Hospiz, while the more leisurely can be shuttled by the Bus alpin. The starting signal for the tour is given at the top of the pass. At the beginning you have to drive up for a short time, then it goes downhill at a brisk pace. Large boulders, relatively easy to roll over, footbridges smelling of fresh wood and fluid passages provide ever new surprises. You never know what to expect next. Followed by a picturesque forest section, you reach La Punt again, the destination of the tour.
