A lovely loop taking permissive rights of on the Roaches estate and Gradbach Woods, and interesting loose and rocky trails near Three Shires Head.

A great loop that takes in the new permissive right of way from Roach End, connecting to the bridleway that heads through Gradbach Woods, before heading off to the rocky trails around Three Shires Head. Both directions are worthwhile. Doing it this way means a tough climb to finish, but there's usually an ice cream van at the end!
The surface is well-drained on the tops and through Gradbach Woods, with the trails around Three Shires Head loose and rocky. Some sections stay boggy, but are short.
This route can easilt be linked with the great trails around Wildboarclough, Macclesfield Forest, Danebower Hollow and over to the Goyt Valley.
