Never ending meters of altitude on the Dachstein-Tauern circuit: heavenly views of various mountain ranges await you. Shortly after Eben you turn right off the B99 and onto Filzmooser Landesstraße (L219). You ride with a magnificent view of the Bischofsmütze via Filzmoos to Ramsau. You are closest to the imposing Dachstein on the state line between Salzburg and Styria. You go downhill the steep curves to Schladming and turn left onto the B320. From Pruggern the L712 continues to Stein an der Enns, there you continue on the L704 over the Sölkpass to Schöder. After Schöder there are only a few kilometers left on the B96 to Murau. In Murau, turn right onto the B97 to Predlitz. At the Steinerwirt you go left on the B95 up to the Turracherhöhe, with its fantastically beautiful mountain lakes. In Unterwinkl, take a sharp right on the turnpike across the Nockalm through the national park area. Another highlight is the so-called wish bell on the Schestlscharte (2,020m), which is told to fulfill a wish every time the bell rings. Over the Eisenhöhe at 2,050 m, you ride down the fantastic road to Innerkrems to the Kremsbrücke and turn right onto the B99. After the Katschberg you will reach St. Michael, where you should enjoy coffee and pastries at the Schlickwirt. You drive home 50 km via Obertauern and the Tauernpass on the B99 to Radstadt.
