Transalp in six stages from Füssen to Riva del Garda

On this crossing of the Alps from Füssen to Lake Garda, we ride a large section of the old Via Claudia Augusta road. We cross the Fernpass into Austria, conquer the Reschenpass, cycle through the Vinschgau Valley and reach the Etschtal Valley via the Gampenpass. We cycle through the wine-growing areas of South Tyrol and reach Riva on Lake Garda via the Brenta group. On the tour we get flowing trails, cart tracks, fine gravel and wonderful pass roads under our tyres – in other words, everything a mountain biker's heart desires. The route is well-balanced in terms of riding technique, but demanding in terms of fitness, and takes us over the main ridge of the Alps to Lake Garda, the most popular destination for crossing the Alps by bike.
