Jura High Trail
The Jura Hiking Trail stretches from the north-east to the south-west across the Swiss Jura mountains.
The Jura-Hills Trail connects the Swiss cities of Zurich and Geneva in a wide arc. The route of the long-distance trail is largely oriented towards the foremost and highest ridge of the Jura chains. In spite of the name, the trail covers large differences in altitude, as the main ridge of the Jura is interrupted by gorges and breakthroughs. On the way, you can not only explore the diverse, varied landscape, but also enjoy the peace and quiet away from the stresses of everyday life. You will pass through two language regions. The Jura Hiking Trail allows hikers to enjoy rugged cliffs, deep grottos, river springs and lakes, quiet forests and wide pastures along the way. Last but not least, the magnificent distant views of the Alps, the Black Forest and the Vosges Mountains make the Höhenweg a worthwhile tour.
