Four-country trail
The Vier-Länder-Weg from Donnersberg to Wertheim is a varied long-distance hiking trail through the regions of Rheinhessen, Bergstra;e and Odenwald, the four federal states of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hessen, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg as well as the three wine-growing regions of Rheinhessen, Bergstra;e and Franconia.
1st stage: Donnersberg - Pfeddersheim (approx. 27 km) . We start our journey of discovery on the Vier-Länder-Weg at the Waldhaus near Donnersberg. From Donnersberg we immediately pass the ruins of Tannenfels through the Hügelland üvia Dannenfels, Bolanden, Albisheim and past the Schüttler winery in Wachenheim to Pfeddersheim. 2nd stage: Pfeddersheim - Auerbach (approx. 34 km) Today's stage is not very eventful and therefore there is the possibility to shorten part of the route by public transport. This gives us a little more time for the city of Worms, which has numerous museums and places of interest in store for us. Otherwise, we continue on foot in an eastern direction on mainly asphalted roads via Worms, Hofheim, Biblis and Fehlheim to Auerbach. 3rd stage: Auerbach - Reichelsheim (approx. 21.5 km) We are now at the foot of the Odenwald, which has developed into a popular holiday region in recent years and invites us on a voyage of discovery across hills with wide
