At the beginning, the Amel variant runs via a beautiful panoramic trail to Xhurdebis (pronounced Huerdebise). In Falize there's a mighty quartzite rock which captures everyone's attention. But a brief detour to the 'Rocher de Falize' is worth while for several reasons, including the wonderful panorama. The GR56 now goes into the Warche valley.
At the viaduct of the Autobahn E42 there is another rock to be seen, the 'Rocher de Warche', though it is already on the Amel. Via Lodomez and Lasneville you go back into the valley of the Amel. Like Ligneuville, the village of Pont is known for its fish farms.
